We are here!

Sorry I did not post last night.  We were far too tired to figure out how to work the wireless and our VPN after being up and traveling for over 24 hours!  We flew to Seoul and had a 2 hour layover and arrived in Beijing at 10pm local time to a bustling airport! Immigration and customs was uneventful and we met our wonderful guide, Michael, upon leaving customs clearance. We met 2 other families from our agency at the airport in Seoul. It was kind of easy to identify one another as there weren't  too many of us Westerners waiting at the gate to fly to Beijing!

Korean Airlines was great! The food was fantastic. The service was excellent. Just wish I could have one of those first class seats that lay entirely flat so I could have slept. The kids did great. They watched enough TV to last them a week! That's ok. There isn't going to be much time for TV the next 2+ weeks.

It is currently 5:00am Friday morning in Beijing and I cannot sleep so am typing this in the bathroom so as to to wake anyone! : ) Today we will go to The Forbidden City, Tianeman Square and a Hutong tour (older, traditional part of Beijing).  We have to be ready to go at 8:15am for a long day but it is good to keep us busy so we adjust to the time difference and what wonderful sights we will see.

Jim posted a couple pics of our travels to get here on Track My Tour. After today he will have a lot more pictures that he will hopefully post at the end of the day!

Thank you for all your continued prayers. We are grateful to be here... finally on the same continent as our Isabel and only 3 days until we will have in our arms!
